We are very happy to announce that European Professional Club Rugby (EPCR) has signed a contract to use the WeTrack project and risk management system for the 2020/21 season.
Following a successful trial during 2020, EPCR's Events & Operations department will now use WeTrack's project management software across its day-to-day activity.
EPCR, the tournament organisers of both the Heineken Champions Cup and the European Rugby Challenge Cup, is based in Lausanne and has nine shareholder organisations across England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, France and Italy.
The Heineken Champions Cup will be competed for by an increased 24 clubs as the sides battle to reach the final in Marseille on May 22nd, 2021. The tournament begins on Friday 11th December with a home game for another WeTrack client - Northampton Saints - against Bordeaux Bégles. With a small number of fans set to return to the stadium for the first time since before COVID-19 hit the UK, it is a momentous occasion for all involved.
Both EPCR and WeTrack are excited for the partnership ahead.
Ben Harries, Head of Events & Operations at EPCR, commented: "We have really only just begun our journey with WeTrack and therefore just scratched the surface of its capability, but the initial steps have been very positive. Peter and the team have been a great help and extremely supportive while onboarding our business and we look forward to continuing to work with the WeTrack team as we integrate the platform into our day-to-day operations for the coming season."
Peter Ward, Managing Director at WeTrack, said, "It is fantastic for us to sign a contract with European Professional Club Rugby after a successful trial this year. Both organisations are looking forward to 2021 with optimism and we are delighted to have them onboard."
